MICHAEL JACKSON

Chữ ký trải rộng trên bề mặt lớn muốn ám chỉ khát vọng thống trị môi trường xung quanh của Jackson.

DAVID ARCHULETA

David James Archuleta (born December 28, 1990) is an American singer. On May 21, 2008, he became the runner-up on the seventh season of American Idol receiving 44 percent of over 97 million votes.

David Archuleta was born in Miami, Florida, to Jeff Archuleta and Lupe Marie, a salsa singer and dancer from Honduras. Archuleta has four siblinge.
Archuleta's family moved to the Salt Lake Valley, to the city of Sandy, Utah, when Archuleta was six. He currently lives in Murray, Utah, where he is a student at Murray High School.
He once suffered partial vocal paralysis but declined risky surgery and has said he feels he is almost fully recovered.
Archuleta started singing at age six, inspired by a
Les Misérables video. "That musical is what started all of this," he said
He started performing publicly at age 10 when he participated in the Utah Talent Competition singing "I Will Always Love You" by Dolly Parton; he received a standing ovation and won the Child Division.
At age 11 he made his television debut. He sang "
And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going" on a Jenny Jones show for future Latino stars.
Musical influences
Archuleta's mother is from
Honduras
and much of the music he listened to as a child, according to an interview aired on American Idol, was Latin-influenced. She also "was big on dancing" according to Archuleta, and would "make" him dance to traditional music with his older sister. He also listened to jazz music, he said, from his father's collection as well as gospel, pop, rock and "soulful music."In a later interview, he revealed that his father was a jazz musician. Archuleta also said he enjoys Broadway musicals.
On his American Idol "Fast Facts" page, Archuleta cites his musical influences as
Natalie Cole, Stevie Wonder, Kirk Franklin and Bryan Adams.when asked to list his top pop artists, he cited Natasha Bedingfield, Natalie Cole, Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Bryan Adams, Kirk Franklin, and Robbie Williams like Yamin

and another singer he admires, John Mayer, Archuleta tries to infuse his pop selections with a soulful vibe

In 2003, at age 12, Archuleta sang on several episodes of the television show Star Search

He ended up as the Junior Vocal Champion on Star Search 2. On one episode, he sang against then-11-year-old Alexandréa Lushington, who also became a "top 20" semi-finalist on American Idol alongside Archuleta. Archuleta's competing on Star Search led to appearances on The Jenny Jones Show and CBS' The Early Show, and meeting the finalists from American Idol's first season, for whom he performed a spontaneoue a cappella rendition of "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going" from Dreamgirls, and received enthusiastic praise from Season 1 winner Kelly Clarkson citation needed

American Idol

Overview
Archuleta won his ticket to the
Hollywood final auditions (with a performance of John Mayer's "Waiting on the World to Change") with the help of idol judge, Randy Jackson, who sang the background "waiting" in the song. (at the San Diego tryouts held at Qualcomm Stadium July 30 and July 31, 2007.[18][6]) He was 16 during the Hollywood auditions (where he sang Bryan Adams' "Heaven" and Gnarls Barkley's "Crazy" to unanimous praise) and because he was not yet 18, had to attend school while a part of Americ

an Idol's seventh season. His parents were there because he was a minor

Archuleta also took advantage of the decision to allow contestants to play musical instruments when he accompanied himself on piano for his performances of "Another Day in Paradise" and "Angels."
A
Los Angeles Times article speculated why Archuleta avoided singing the first verse of "Imagine": because "of his religion (Mormonism), he's unlikely to espouse the song's agnostic ideal . . . with the line about 'no religion too.'" Archuleta did, however, sing the entire song on Good Things Utah when he was 13. During his first performance of Imagine on American Idol, when asked by judge Randy Jackson why he didn't sing the first verse, Archuleta said the third verse was his favorite because it has "a great message."
In the finale he sang "
Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me," "In This Moment" and "Imagine." Judge Simon Cowell declared that Archuleta won the evening and even David Cook, who ultimately won, thought Archuleta would win: "I have to concede it, the kid came out all three song

s and nailed it," said Cook. In the final tally, Archuleta received 44 percent of the votes. During the finale show, both Archuleta and fellow finalist Cook appeared in separate but nearly identical commercials for the game franchise Guitar Hero, mimicking a Tom Cruise scene from Risky Business.

Fans
Fans dub themselves "Archies" or "Arch Angels." With his "cult-like appeal" nurtured by his work on American Idol, Archuleta has attracted a wide demographic of fans including teenage girls. [25] [26][27] Archuleta was labeled the front-runner after the first few weeks of performances by both the judges and the media because of his "pure, pop voice," which helped him build a large fan base during the competition.[28] Billboard magazine's Fred Bronson notes “David fills a spot where there’s a void. . . . He has innocence and humility.”[27] Los Angeles Times' Richard Rushfield noted that the "tween/teen girl hysteria" has only increased.[29]
Beginning with his performance of "Angels," Archuleta responded to requests of his fans on the American Idol Forums to signal them by putting his hand over his heart. Rushfield commented on some of the girls who were standing in the front of the audience: "An hour after the show, they were still shaking, sobbing and screeching about their encounter with the Chosen One [Archuleta]."[29]
Controversy with father
After his performance of "We Can Work It Out," which judge Simon Cowell called "a mess," Entertainment Tonight reported that Archuleta was feeling pressure from his father, Jeff Archuleta, who "reportedly yelled at" his son after a recording session the previous night.[30] Jeff Archuleta, in an interview with Us Magazine, denied the claim.[31] A May 2008 Associated Press article reported that Jeff Archuleta had his son add a lyric from the Sean Kingston song "Beautiful Girls" into a rendition of "Stand by Me" (from which "Beautiful Girls" samples its bass line), increasing the costs for licensing, and that this had resulted in Jeff Archuleta being banned from American Idol backstage rehearsals.[32] During the 2008 American Idols LIVE! Tour Tour David once again sang his rendition of "Stand by Me" featuring an even longer segment of Beautiful Girls.[citation needed]
Archuleta later defended his father on CBS's The Early Show, stating: "[My father is] a great guy. And I really appreciate his support and all my family's support. You know, he's given great advice, but he's let me do my own thing. And it's been great to have him there, just reminding me to keep grounded and remember what's important." [33]

Post-Idol career
The three songs Archuleta performed in the American Idol finale, "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me", "In This Moment", and "Imagine", became top-10 downloads on iTunes. All three debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 chart the week of June 7, 2008. "Imagine" entered at #36 (giving Archuleta his first top forty hit), "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me" debuted at #58, and "In This Moment" entered at #60. That same week Archuleta also placed three songs on Billboard's Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles chart, where his versions of "Longer", "Think of Me", and "Angels" debuted at #15, #19, and #24 respectively.[34]
On June 5, 2008, Jive Records announced that David signed a recording contract with the label and that his debut album will be released later this year, after the "American Idols Live! 2008 Tour". [35] Archuleta will be releasing his single "Crush" on August 12.
On 17 July 2008's So You Think You Can Dance, Archuleta's cover of "Imagine" by John Lennon was used by Katee Shean and William Wingfield with their Pas de deux dance number.

What is the ''Phở''

Pho originated in northern Vietnam and spread to southern and central Vietnam in the mid-1950s, after the defeat of the French and the eventual partitioning of the country. It is likely that pho came into being around 1910-1912, early enough in the new century. The communist government of North Vietnam forcibly closed many private pho businesses in the 1950s, opening government-run eateries in their place. Northern Vietnamese fleeing communist rule for South Vietnam introduced pho to their southern counterparts. Unlike in Hanoi in North Vietnam, the phở business flourished in South Vietnam, especially Saigon.[citation needed]
There are conflicting beliefs as to how phở came to be. Some believe it originated from French methods used in bouillon or consommé cooking. Oxen were valued work animals and were rarely eaten, but the arrival of the French had probably prompted servants to prepare a dish that suited the French palate. It is even said that phở, or at least the etymological derivation of that name for the dish, came from the French beef stew dish pot-au-feu, with phở being a Vietnamization of the word feu. The broth for pot-au-feu, as it is for phở, is prepared with a bouquet garni containing spices such as cloves and black pepper. Another word for phở, used in Vietnam while Chinese was still the national written language, is hà phấn (河粉; Cantonese: ho4 fan2);[citation needed] the Chinese characters are the equivalent of the Chinese he fen, which comes from Shahe fen (沙河粉), the original name for the rice noodles originating in the town of Shahe, Guangdong.
Others believe that phở possible origins more likely lie in China. China had ruled over Vietnam for over a millennium and greatly influenced Vietnamese culture, including cuisine. Cooking ingredients used in phở, such as spices also seen in Chinese cooking (see five-spice powder and red cooking), as well as the use of rice noodles, are all Chinese influences.
With the arrival of anti-communist Vietnamese exiles and refugees (that is, hailing from South Vietnam) in the post-Vietnam War period, phở was also gradually introduced to Western countries, especially to France and the United States. There are also many phở restaurants in Australia and Canada, as these countries also received many Vietnamese refugees and immigrants. Vietnamese immigrants also brought phở noodles to the former Soviet bloc countries, including Russia, Poland and the Czech Republic
There are several regional variants of phở in Vietnam, particularly divided between northern (Hanoi, called phở bắc or "northern phở"; or phở Hà Nội), central (Huế)[citation needed], and southern (Ho Chi Minh City/Saigon). One regional phở may be sweeter, and another variation may emphasize a bolder and spicier flavor[citation needed]. "Northern phở" tends to use somewhat wider noodles and green onions.photo 1photo 2On the other hand, southern Vietnamese generally use thinner noodles[citation needed] (approximately the width of pad Thai or linguine noodles), and add bean sprouts and a greater variety of fresh herbs to their phở instead.

HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 4

April 9, 2008 - Admittedly, we're risking our street cred here, but we'd be doing you all a disservice if we didn't pass along reports that Disney is planning a fourth installment in the massively popular tween-targeted High School Musical franchise.
The next installment in the series, High School Musical 3: Senior Year, hits theaters in October. And The Hollywood Reporter scoops that a fourth is already being written.
Stars Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale and Corbin Bleu are all back for the third flick, but Disney Channel honcho Rich Ross admits it'd be a stretch getting them to appear in another.
"Are we going to have all the cast back? Probably not," Ross said. "Will we have some of them? I hope so." THR hints that new characters introduced in HSM3 will likely star in the fourth.
